Prayad finished tied for 7th in Japan.

In his sixth Japan tour event of the year, Prayad, who was four shots behind the leader after three rounds, closed with a 70 to tie for sixth on 6-under-282.

He was six shots behind winner Yusaku Miyazato, who made a final 66 to win the title by three shots on 12-under-276. Yusaku, who is LPGA tour star Ai Miyasato’s older brother, won his back-to-back title after his triumph at the Crown a few weeks ago.

Brad Kennedy of Australia (66) was second on 279 while overnight leader Toru Taniguchi (72) was joint third on 280.

Better called “Pro Mai”, Prayad, who has three top-10 finishes on the tour this year, took home 4,585,000 million yen (about 1.65 million baht). He went down from 2nd to 3rd on the money list behind Yusaku and Kenichi Kuboya respectively.

This week, Prayad, who was victorious at the Singapore Open in January, will play at the US$ 300,000 Thailand Open on Asian Tour at Thai Country Club. The Thai veteran used to win the tournament when it was held at the Thana City & Country Club in 2013. At that time, it was co-sanctioned by OneAsia and Japan Tour.
